Hello!

Delaney Baumann is a dual certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner with a passion for caring for those suffering from mental health conditions during and after pregnancy.

Our Story

I am a Fort Wayne native with 10 years of healthcare experience in a variety of different settings including ER, primary care & psychiatry. I have 4 living children and experienced a third trimester stillbirth of my daughter Rowan in 2017. I am the Founder &  Executive Director of non-profit, Remembering Rowan, that assists with funeral and medical expenses for families in Indiana facing pregnancy and infant loss. My personal experiences with postpartum depression & anxiety, the death of my baby, enduring pregnancy after loss, and the insight I have gleaned from operating Remembering Rowan have provided me with unique perspective and understanding of the complexities of mental health in the perinatal period.  I have obtained additional training and certification through Postpartum Support International on diagnosing and treating mood and anxiety disorders during and after pregnancy with medications that are safe during the perinatal and lactation period.

I vow to provide an environment free of judgment, to meet you where you are in your motherhood journey. I promise to equip you with the information needed to make an informed decision on your treatment plan by discussing risks associated with treatment & non-treatment.   I will collaborate with your OBGYN or Midwife regarding your treatment plan. Additionally, I will provide you with resources, encouragement, and support that you need because after all, you were Made to Thrive.

In the state of Indiana, Nurse Practitioners are required to practice in collaboration with a Physician. Dr. Matthew Runyan is a local Psychiatrist with extensive inpatient and outpatient experience and will serve as my collaborative physician.  His clinical expertise will support Made to Thrive with chart reviews and consultation for complex cases.
